Chief's Message

The Waverly Police Department is committed to providing professional, community-oriented law enforcement services to the residents and visitors of Waverly. Our officers are dedicated to maintaining public safety, building trust, and fostering partnerships with the community. We encourage residents to reach out to us with concerns or ideas for improving our services.

Department Overview

The Waverly Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency with approximately 20 sworn officers and several civilian support staff. The department operates out of its headquarters at 111 4th Street NE and provides 24/7 patrol coverage, criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, and community policing services.

Employment

The Waverly Police Department periodically accepts applications for sworn officer positions and civilian support roles. Candidates must meet Iowa Law Enforcement Academy certification requirements. The department offers competitive pay, benefits, and ongoing training opportunities. Applications are available through City Administration.
