About & Staff
The Waverly Police Department is committed to providing professional, community-oriented law enforcement services to the residents and visitors of Waverly. Our officers are dedicated to maintaining public safety, building trust, and fostering partnerships with the community. We encourage residents to reach out to us with concerns or ideas for improving our services.
Divisions
The Patrol Division is the largest component of the department and provides 24/7 uniformed presence throughout the city. Patrol officers respond to calls for service, conduct proactive patrols, enforce traffic laws, and serve as the first responders to emergencies. Officers are assigned to rotating shifts to ensure continuous coverage.
Community Programs
The Citizens Police Academy is a multi-week program that gives residents an inside look at police operations, procedures, and training. Participants learn about patrol tactics, criminal investigations, use of force policies, and emergency response. The academy is offered annually and is free to Waverly residents age 18 and older.
