About & Hours
The Waverly Public Library is open Monday through Thursday 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Friday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and Saturday 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. The library is closed on Sundays and major holidays. Holiday closures are posted in advance at the library and on the website.
Programs
The library offers weekly storytimes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers throughout the school year, featuring stories, songs, and early literacy activities. Special children's events include STEM activities, craft programs, and author visits. The Summer Reading Challenge encourages children to read throughout the summer with prizes and fun activities.
Collections & Borrowing
The library's collection includes over 50,000 items including books, audiobooks on CD, DVDs, magazines, newspapers, and music CDs. The collection is continuously updated with new titles and patron suggestions are always welcome. Items may be browsed in the online catalog and placed on hold for pickup.
Research
Library cardholders have free access to a variety of online databases for research, including newspaper archives, academic journals, genealogy resources, automotive repair guides, and consumer reports. Databases can be accessed in the library or remotely with a valid library card number. Staff are available to help you get started.
Services & Spaces
The library offers meeting rooms available for reservation by community groups, organizations, and individuals. Rooms accommodate groups of various sizes and include tables, chairs, and audiovisual equipment. Meeting rooms are free for non-profit and community use. Reservations can be made by contacting the library.
