Planning & Maps

Comprehensive Plan

Waverly's Comprehensive Plan provides the long-range vision for land use, transportation, housing, economic development, and community facilities. The plan is updated periodically and guides the Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council in making land use decisions.

Zoning & Flood Plain Maps

The official zoning map shows current zoning district boundaries for all properties within Waverly. Flood plain maps identify areas within the 100-year and 500-year flood plains along the Cedar River and its tributaries. Property owners in flood-prone areas should consult with Community Development about flood plain regulations and insurance requirements.

GIS & Property Information

The city's Geographic Information System (GIS) provides interactive mapping tools for viewing property boundaries, zoning, utilities, and other geographic data. The GIS portal is available online and is regularly updated by Community Development staff. Property information including ownership, assessed values, and plat maps can be accessed through the Bremer County Assessor's office.
