Meeting Schedule
The Waverly City Council meets on the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Mondays of each month at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 200 1st Street NE. Meetings are open to the public. Agendas are posted at City Hall and online at least 24 hours in advance.
Role of the City Council
The City Council is the legislative body of the City of Waverly, consisting of the Mayor and council members. The Council sets city policy, approves the annual budget, enacts ordinances and resolutions, and appoints the City Manager. Council members serve staggered four-year terms.
How to Participate
Residents are encouraged to attend Council meetings and may address the Council during the public comment period near the beginning of each meeting. Written comments may also be submitted to the City Clerk before the meeting. Residents interested in serving on a city board or commission should contact City Administration.
