Permits & Reservations
Shelter Reservations
Park shelter reservations are accepted starting January 2 each year for the upcoming season (May through October). Shelters are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservation fees vary by shelter size and include use of picnic tables, grills, electricity, and restroom access.
Diamond & Field Reservations
Athletic diamonds and sports fields are available for league play, tournaments, and practice by reservation. Fields are maintained by Leisure Services staff. Organizations must provide proof of insurance and agree to field use rules. Rain-out and field closure decisions are made by staff to protect playing surfaces.
Special Event & Keg Permits
Special event permits are required for organized activities in city parks or on public property, including races, festivals, and large gatherings. Keg permits are required for any event serving beer from a keg in a city park. Applications should be submitted at least 30 days in advance.
Memorial Benches & Cemetery
Memorial benches can be placed in city parks through a donation program managed by Leisure Services. The city also administers the Harlington Cemetery, including lot sales, burial coordination, and grounds maintenance. Contact the office for current availability and pricing.
