Severe weather safety

During tornado warnings, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. During winter storms, limit travel and keep emergency supplies in your vehicle.

Emergency supply kit

Every household should maintain a basic emergency supply kit with water (one gallon per person per day for three days), non-perishable food, flashlight, batteries, first aid kit, medications, and important documents.

Rock County Emergency Management

Rock County Emergency Management coordinates countywide emergency planning, exercises, and response operations. The City of Janesville participates in countywide emergency plans and mutual aid agreements.
