Water service
The Janesville Water Utility provides safe, reliable drinking water to residential and commercial customers. Water is sourced from deep wells drawing from the sandstone aquifer and treated to meet all state and federal standards.
Water quality
The Water Utility publishes an Annual Water Quality Report (Consumer Confidence Report) each year. The report details water sources, treatment processes, and test results for regulated contaminants. Janesville's water consistently meets or exceeds all regulatory standards.
Service connections
New water service connections, disconnections, and main extensions are coordinated through the Water Utility division. Contact (608) 755-3110 for new service requests.
Water main breaks
Report water main breaks or leaks to (608) 755-3110 during business hours or (608) 755-3100 (Police non-emergency) after hours for emergency response.
