Neighborhood Watch

The Janesville Police Department partners with neighborhood groups to establish and support Neighborhood Watch programs. Officers provide training, resources, and ongoing support to help residents work together to prevent crime and build community.

School Resource Officers

SROs are assigned to Janesville public schools, serving as law enforcement officers, mentors, and educators. The SRO program builds positive relationships between youth and law enforcement.

Community presentations

Officers are available to present to neighborhood groups, civic organizations, and businesses on topics including personal safety, scam prevention, drug awareness, and active threat preparedness.

National Night Out

The department coordinates Janesville's National Night Out celebration each August, bringing officers and residents together in neighborhoods across the city.
