Trails and Ice Age Trail

Ice Age National Scenic Trail

Janesville has more Ice Age National Scenic Trail miles within its city limits than any other Wisconsin community. The trail follows the Rock River corridor and passes through parks, natural areas, and scenic overlooks. Multiple trailheads provide convenient access from neighborhoods across the city.

ARISE Trail

The ARISE Trail connects downtown Janesville and the ARISE District to the riverfront and parks system. The paved multi-use trail is suitable for walking, running, and biking.

Other city trails

The city maintains a network of paved and natural-surface trails within its parks for walking, running, and biking. Trail maps are available on the City website and at park kiosks.

Trail etiquette

Trails are shared use. Pedestrians have the right of way. Cyclists should announce when passing. Dogs must be on a leash. Please stay on designated trails and carry out all trash.
